Yes a step in the right direction!The federal government announced on Monday the first national emissions and fuel economy standards for heavy vehicles and trucks. Another step that the Obama administration is taking to increase energy efficiency and reduce atmospheric pollution in the absence of Congressional action on climate change. Also announced was the approval of large solar power installations on public land in the California desert, a step to wean the nation from dependence on fossil fuels. Very positive things in helping with the approach to slow down global warming
